Managing over 730 acres of public park land, the Lancaster Parks & Recreation Department offers something for everyone.  From programmed athletics, nature education, arts and community events, to population specific parks and passive recreation sites, the benefits are endless…

Sports

Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Swimming are some of the many energetic activities that can be found in community recreation.

These programs are designed to fulfill the need to be involved in an activity where talents can find expression. If the need is to learn more about a sport, that opportunity also exists by way of lessons, clinics, and special training seminars. There is a place for everyone of all ages, skill levels, desires and abilities.

Olivedale Senior Center

We consider Olivedale a premier recreational and educational facility for the older population of the community ages 55 and older. 

The Lower Level of Olivedale houses our Lancaster Parks & Recreation Health & Fitness Center for ages 35 and older

Amenities

Comprised of the original Schurtz home, with 2 subsequent additions, the Center boasts a large banquet room in a multi-purpose area, meeting rooms, recreational areas, wellness center with warm-water exercise pool and a fitness room.
